World Diabetes Day in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

Some of our team were in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia for World Diabetes Day this year, promoting Noctura 400 at the Saudi Ophthalmology Society Conference 2025.  

World Diabetes Day 2025, a campaign led by the International Diabetes Federation, this year ran the theme “Diabetes and the Workplace”. It wanted to focus on the challenges and support available for working-age individuals with diabetes. Globally, 7 in 10 adults living with diabetes are of working age, and as they know, managing diabetes whilst in the workplace is an extra challenge.

The prevalence of diabetes in Saudi Arabia is around 23% in adults – much higher than in the UK (7-8%).*

Showcasing Noctura 400 alongside our Key Opinion Leader and International Speaker at the event, Professor Carlos Pavesio, we met many experts in the ophthalmology field and made some very useful contacts.

We hope that we can help even more working people retain their eyesight, which is vital for many jobs.
