Dr Alex Cole runs the Liverpool Rock n Roll Half Marathon
For the second year running, Alex ran a long distance race in Liverpool. He opted this year to do a 5K on Saturday 13th and a half marathon (21K) on Sunday 14th June. Despite having an injured ankle he managed a rather respectable 2 hours 9 minutes for the full 13.1 miles. He claims he ran the whole way too!
Alex gained 4 rather large medals for the weekend, one for the 5K, one for the half marathon, one for doing two races in the same weekend (Remix medal) and one for doing a long distance run in Liverpool two years running (Encore medal).
Alex plans to run a half marathon in Las Vegas later this year. Alex will also be running “Muddy Mayhem” with the rest of PolyPhotonix on 27th September, you can sponsor him and the rest of the team below.
