Sight-saving mask manufacturer turns to UK catapult for backing – Financial Times

A small company based in northeast England has developed a treatment that could prevent blindness that is linked to diabetes and save the NHS £1bn a year. The product – Noctura 400 – has already completed clinical safety and efficacy tests and is in trial in 30 NHS clinics. This month, it started a commercial pilot in the northeast.
